Charles Anthony Emering, Sr., age 63, of Butler, N.J., passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Charles was born in Paterson, NJ. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, was a member of VFW Post No 8096 in Butler, NJ and a Assistant Scout Master for Troop 4 in the Boy Scouts. He worked for the F.A.A.in Saddle Brook, NJ as a Safety Inspector, was a former Mayor, Town Council member and was on the Museum Board all in Butler. He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 loving years, Judith A.(Lami) Emering, his adored mother Antoinette (Imperato) Emering, his beloved children, Kristen Bulas and husband Matthew and Charles Jr. and his wife Suzanne, his loving siblings, Edward, Anthony and wife Janice, Gene and wife Maria and Carol Young and husband Al, a cherished grandchild Gabriel Blackbird Emering and a dear mother in law, Katherine Demarest. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:30 am on Friday, June 21, 2013 at His Word Ministry, 593 Ringwood Ave, Wanaque, NJ. Entombment to follow in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Viewing hours will be Thursday, June 20, 2013, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm also at His Word Ministry, Wanaque, NJ.
