Emil Paul Simonetti, age 87, of Butler died Saturday, August 1, 2015. Mr. Simonetti was born in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Anthony and the late Mary (Brizzi) Simonetti. He served in the Army during World War II, was a member of the Riverside Veterans in Hawthorne, NJ, a member of the Foundation Board of Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains, St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson and Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, a member of the Committee of Morris County Disability, and was a former Councilman and Police Commissioner both in Butler. Emil was a Controller for Pike Construction, Paterson, NJ before he retired. He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 loving years, Carole (Plaskon) Simonetti and two loving siblings, Delma Cuccinello and Paul Simonetti and wife Ann. He was predeceased by his brother Rudolph, Simonetti and hid sister Lena Martinelli. Viewing hours will be Thursday, August 6th, 2015 from 10:00am-11:00am at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, 11:30am at St. Anthony's RC Church, Butler, NJ. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson, NJ.
