Robert Anthony Fillare

Robert Anthony "Bob" Fillare passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on September 19, 2018.Bob was born to the late Charles and Jane Fillare in Suffern, New York on April 30, 1955. Bob was beloved by his wife of 34 years Virginia and treasured by their son Matthew. He was also a cherished son-in-law of Inez Agostino and the late Elio Agostino. He is survived by many loving relatives, including his brother Chris, his wife Sharon, and their two children Michael and Jessica. He was a loved brother-in-law to Elio and Cindy Agostino, Rocco Agostino, and Joey and the late Inez Peia. Bob was also an adored uncle of Christine, Rocco, and Ian Agostino and Joseph Peia. Bob called Ramsey, West Milford, Pompton Lakes, Bloomingdale, and Franklin, New Jersey home during his life. A graduate of Ramapo College, he worked as a salesman for PMR, Inc for several years before his passing. He also worked at Panasonic, Peerless Electronics, Thiele Corporation, and Cozzoli Machine Company during his life. Bobs work ethic was only outweighed by his generosity to others. Bob was a lifelong fan of his New York sports teams, most fanatically for the New York Rangers hockey team. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent time playing hockey, fishing, golfing, and most of all swimming. An avid lover of all animals, Bob cared for and loved many pets during his life. In life Bobs family and friends knew him as a fiercely devoted man always eager to lend a helping hand. Bob will be dearly missed but his memory will live on in all his loving friends and family.Visitation will be held Thursday, September 27 from 4:00PM-8:00Pm at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave Butler, NJ. A mass will be offered on Friday, September 28, 12:00PM at St. Anthony's RC Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave Butler, NJ. Burial will immediately follow the mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bartholdi Ave Butler, NJ.
