Adeline Walsh

Adeline Walsh of Wayne, NJ formally of Hawthorne, NJ passed away peacefully, Wednesday December 20, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Frances (Migliore) Altieri. Della was a waitress at the Wayside Diner/ Land & Sea in Fairlawn, NJ for 16 years while raising her young children and worked in sales for Modern Way Building and Maintenance in Hawthorne, NJ before retiring. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary in Clifton, NJ serving as president and chaplain and attended Butler United Methodist Church. Della loved concerts, dancing and the beach. She was the life of the party and a wonderful hostess. She is survived by her loving children William Barhorst, Linda Bosland and husband William, Wayne Barhorst and wife Carol, Robert Barhorst, Daniel Barhorst and wife Maria, and Charles Barhorst and wife Dina. Sixteen adored grandchildren Colleen Andes, Jimmy Carroll, Matthew Connolly, Megan Grier, Tracy Barhorst, Crystal Tibbs, Danielle Barhorst, Bobby Barhorst, Michael Barhorst, Christopher Barhorst, CJ Barhorst, Ryan Barhorst, Brendan Campbell, Brian Campbell, Betsey Campbell Owens and Kathryn Kosich. She is also survived by 14 cherished great grandchildren. Della was predeceased by her husband William Barhorst in 1984 and her brother Nicholas Altieri. Viewing hours will be Tuesday December 26, 2017, from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at the Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be offered on Wednesday December 27, 2017, 11:30 am at the Butler United Methodist Church, 5 Bartholdi Ave Butler, NJ. Burial will immediately follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Road Totowa, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Butler United Methodist Church 5 Bartholdi Ave Butler, NJ 07405.
