Rodda, Agnes Laura (nee McCullough) 94, of Bloomingdale passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 18, 2014. Agnes was born in Jersey City on September 25, 1919 to the late Thomas and Agnes McCullough. She later moved to Butler and has been a resident of Bloomingdale since 1945. Agnes married her husband Edward on November 23, 1939. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2002.During World War II Agnes worked at Curtis Wright and later at the American Hard Rubber company in Butler. Agnes then worked at St. Anthony's Church in Butler before her retirement in 1998. Over many years Agnes volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and at DePaul High School and she was very involved with St. Anthony's Church and School, volunteering for the Rosary Altar Society, parish carnival and chairing the first St.Anthony's Parish picnic.She is predeceased by her husband Edward, son Thomas, brother Thomas McCullough, and sisters Anne Magner and Kathleen Romer. She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Hock; three children Beverly Warner, Edward and his wife Christine, and MaryAnn Rodda; grandchildren, Mark Warner and his wife Alicia, Laura Porretta and her husband Joseph, Darren Rodda and his wife Kerry, Matthew Rodda, Christopher Mabry and his wife Hanna, and Katherine Rodda; and great-grandchildren Kennedy Rodda, Joseph Porretta, Michael Rodda, and Kyle Warner.Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday from 2 - 4 or 7 - 9 pm at Morrison's Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Monday September 22 at St. Anthony Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler.In lieu of fowers donations may be made to the St. Anthony Church Food Pantry or to a charity of your choice.
