Andreas 'Andy' Leitner

Andreas "Andy" Leitner, age 77, of Bloomingdale, NJ, died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Andy was born in Bakonyjako, Hungary the son of the late Andreas and the late Agnes (Mayer) Leitner. He grew up in Germany where he learned his trade as a butcher and bologna maker. He came to this country at the age of 18. He established his own business, "Leitner's Pork Store" in Paterson and then relocated the business to West Milford in 1968. Later he was employed by Liberty Provisions in Clifton and Thumann's in Carlstadt. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy J. (Rahner) Leitner for 54 years; his beloved children, Andrea E. Liaci and Karl F. Leitner and Karl's fiancee Diane Van Brunt; his loving siblings, Joseph, Leo and Susanne Franke; and his two cherished grandchildren, John M. Liaci Jr and Lauren A. Liaci and many dear nieces and nephews. Andreas was predeceased by his dear sister, Rosalie Bochnig. Viewing hours will be Friday, December 18th, 2015 from 5:00-9:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday 12noon at St. Anthony RC Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
