Anita Spencer

Anita Spencer, age 92, of Cedar Crest in Pompton Plains, formerly of Butler and Toms River, died Sunday, October 20, 2013. Mrs. Spencer was born in Butler, N.J. the daughter of the late Robert and the late Teresa (Regan) Hocker. She was a teacher at St. Anthony's School in Butler before retiring and belonged to the Rosary Society of St. Maximilian RC Church in Toms River, the Catholic Daughters of Toms River,the Cedar Crest Rosary and Adoration Society and she always had a smile. She is survived by a beloved daughter, Kathleen Adams and husband Theodore, her cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey Adams and wife Karen, and Jennifer Beberman and husband Joseph, seven adored great grandchildren, Sydney, Kylie, Kacy, Chance, Amanda, Lauren and Justin and is also survived by nieces and nephews. Anita was predeceased by her devoted husband William. Viewing hours will be Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will offered Friday 11:00am at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
