Arthur F Jordan

Arthur F. Jordan was born on September 28, 1929 in Pompton Lakes, NJ and was raised in Butler, NJ, he passed away peacefully on March 13, 2023. Arthur joined the Army in 1946 and spent two years in Japan and Korea. He was in the Reserves and was called up again in 1950 and was sent to Fort Knox, Kentucky. After his Honorable Discharge in 1953, he worked towards getting his own trucking company. Arthur kept the trucking company until 1960 when he bought school buses and founded Jordan Transportation, Butler, NJ which he operated it until 2011.

Arthur was predeceased by his mother, Hilary E. Jordan ( De Puyt) in 1995 and by his son, Arthur F. Jordan in 1964. He is survived by his wife K. Christa Jordan ( Metten), his son, John Jordan, daughter, Caren Jordan and her husband Justin Sapp, son, Mark Jordan and his wife Kim and six grandchildren, Brooke Jordan, Michael Sapp, Matthew Sapp, Hailey Jordan, Mark Sapp and Chase Jordan.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at St. Anthony's of Padua Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ, from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. A mass will be offered at 3:00pm, with burial immediately following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
