Arthur Lawrence Nelson

Arthur Lawrence Nelson, age 92, Kinnelon, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Bristol Glen in Newton, with his loving family at his side. Mr. Nelson was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Leo and the late Helen (Hastie) Nelson. He served in the Army during World War II, loved woodworking and playing pool, and retired from MEG Electronics as a salesman. He always had a place in his heart and home for anyone in need, and had a special love for pets, especially his most recent dog, Sally. He was predeceased by his devoted friend and ex-wife, Marion. He is survived by his beloved children, Michael Nelson and wife Barbara, Ellen Nelson, Patty McGuigan and husband John, June Tarantino and husband Joe, Steven Nelson and fianc Sherry Elder and Thomas Nelson and fourteen cherished grandchildren and three adored great-grandchildren. Viewing hours will be Wednesday, December 20, 2017, from 9 to10:00am at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday 10:30am at Our Lady Of Magnificat RC Church Chapel, Kinnelon, NJ. Burial to follow in Our Lady Of The Magnificat Cemetery, Kinnelon, NJ.
