Bagrian Vatchev, 70, Butler, NJ, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 22, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife Diane and children Petkana and Steven as well as many nieces and nephews. Originally from Slavyanovo, Bulgaria, Bagrian came to the United States in 1991. He and Diane moved to Butler in 1994 to raise their family.As a young man he enjoyed cross-country ski racing, orienteering, tennis, windsurfing and running. One of his greatest pleasures was sharing these passions with his family. He also loved to travel with his family across the US and Europe; always connecting with people through the many languages that he spoke. Most recently he and Diane spent a lot of their free time skiing together. As an adult he was highly regarded for his work ethic, skill, and devotion as a machinist. After moving to New Jersey, he worked for Colgate-Palmolive in Morristown as a Machinist, Grade A. After his retirement from Colgate he enjoyed teaching machining at local community colleges. Due to the COVID-19 situation the services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Tri-Boro First Aid Squad, P.O.
