Barbara Ann Peterson

Barbara Ann Peterson, daughter of the late Hattie B. Peterson was born in Bladen County, NC on August 16, 1957. She transitioned to heaven on June 21, 2022. Barbara graduated from East Bladen High School in NC. After high school she moved to New York City where she worked various jobs in the food industry as she enjoyed serving and helping people. Barbara affectionately known as Bobcat was a very joyful person and loved to laugh. In 1978, she met the love of her life, the late Jerry Clemons. They started a family and three children were born to them; Charita, Jeremiah, and Patricia. Barbara loved her children and grandchildren very much. She enjoyed spending time with her family. In 2009, after a near-death experience, she received Jesus Christ as her personal lord and savior. She attended Mt. Neboh Baptist Church of Harlem and visited The Gathering Church in Hackensack, NJ where she rededicated her life to Christ in 2017. Barbara was preceded in death by her love the late Jerry Clemons, her mother, Hattie B. Peterson, her brother, Howard Peterson, her sister, Brenda Peterson. She leaves to cherish her memories: her children; Charita Peterson (Daniel Hankinson), Jeremiah Peterson, Patricia Peterson; her God-daughter, Candace Spann; her eight grandchildren, Stefon Peterson, Dayja Peterson, Janeah Peterson, Alexis Collins, Jason Cook, Symiah Peterson, Gavin Peterson, Sayanna Lopez her sister, Marsha; her brother; Rochester, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Viewing hours will be Sunday, June 26th, 2022, from 3pm-7pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home Inc., 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. A funeral service will be held Sunday 6pm also at the funeral home. The final disposition will be private. . There are no gallery images.
