Barbara M. Opalenik

Barbara, age 69, passed away on February 5, 2016. She was born September 1, 1946 in Passiac NJ and is the youngest of three children born to James Lo Cascio and Madeline (De Stefano) Lo Cascio. Barbara grew up in Passiac, then resided in Lodi, and Clifton before settling in Bloomingdale, NJ. Barbara was pre deceased by her parents, her brother Salvatore, and her beloved husband of 25 years, Nicholas Opalenik, who passed away in 2002. Surviving are her brother Anthony, her brother Salvatore's wife, May (Galletly) Lo Cascio, her son, Richard Hinsinger, son, Nicholas J. Opalenik, and step-daughter, Sharon Blackwell. Additionally, she was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.Viewing hours will be Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral will be held Tuesday 7:30pm also at the funeral home. All other services will be private.
