Bette J. Lavelle

Bette J. Lavelle, 86, of Bloomingdale, passed away December 15, 2018. Betty was born in Butler, NJ, daughter of the late Richard and Olive Penaluna. Bette was a cafeteria worker for the Butler Borough of Education, working in the high school and also worked at the Samuel R. Donald School in Bloomingdale, a driver for the Jordan Bus Company and a waitress at the Tides Inn. She was a past member of the Rosary Altar Society and parishioner at St. Anthonys Church in Butler and a former Ladies Auxiliary Member at the Bloomingdale Fire Department. She is survived by her beloved children William Lavelle and fianc Cecelie and Kathy Lavelle-Wynn and husband Jim Wynn, her loving siblings, Marilyn Vanderhoff ,Shirley Wyckoff and Richard Penaluna, five cherished grandchildren, Leanne Hebb and husband Joey, Jessica Wilson and husband Matt, Mark Lavelle, Sarah Graziaplene and husband Drew and Kathryn Lavelle and her adored great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Landon, Carter, Brielle and Trent. Bette was predeceased by her devoted husband, William. A viewing will be will be held on December 18, 2018, Tuesday, from 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, 10 AM, also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery also in Butler.
