Beverly A. Sedlar

Beverly A. Sedlar- born 9/24/1936 passed away at home with family by her side on 9/23/2018. Beverly lived in Passaic, NJ before moving to Bloomingdale, NJ in 1971.Beverly attended Rutgers University in Newark, NJ. Deans list. Beverly continued on to William Paterson College to complete her Bachelors degree for courses not offered at Rutgers. Beverly graduated with highest honors and obtained her bachelors degree in business and management in addition to a teaching degree and certification. Beverly received the Matelson Award for academic excellence from William Paterson College.Beverly worked as a administrative assistant and secretary to the Vice President of Exon/Mobile in Manhattan and left to stay home with her children. Her daughter remembers her boss calling Beverly for 18 years after leaving to come back. Beverly also was a substitute teacher at Martha B Day School in Bloomingdale. Beverly also worked as a executive secretary to executive director information services and secretary to the executive director, general counsel at NECA in Whippany, NJ before retiring.Beverly loved spending as much time with her family as she could. Taking road trips with her husband John and family trips to Florida, Cape Cod, Bermuda, Pt. Pleasant and NY state.She is survived by her daughters, Pamela C. Sedlar of Bloomingdale, NJ and Cynthia McKernan of Hudson, FL and her grandchildren Amy Roman and Chris McKernan, and great-grandchildren Selena, Savannah, Alex, Ryan, Kyle, Autumn, Kayla, Chris, and sisters Susan Lipari and Pat Perillo as well as many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her husband, John Sedlar, parents John Jack Manning & Estelle Manning, sister Joan Prokop and nephew John Perillo.Visitation will take place this Friday, September 28 from 4 to 8 PM and Saturday from 11-12 at Morrisons Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ 07405.
