She attended grammar and high school there, where she was captain of both the swim and fencing teams. She also attended college at William Paterson University, San Jacinto College South in Houston, TX, and the University of South Carolina. Blanche was just short of completing her Bachelor's Degree, but was better educated and more intelligent than she ever gave herself credit for. She was rich in love. Besides being an extraordinary Mother, she had many jobs, including that of a travel agent. Blanche and her husband, Charley lived overseas for years while Charley worked there, in Iran, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, and that provided them the chance to explore the world. They were avid ballroom dancers, and taught many friends to dance during their tenure overseas. Blanche also took watercolor lessons there, and became a prolific painter. She was delighted to share those talents with young children there, teaching them art and dance.Blanche will be remembered for many things, especially for her love of children, of birds and all animals, and for a lovely singing voice and appreciation of music. She used to say "When I "shuffle off this mortal coil," there'll be no "weeping and gnashing of teeth," and no jumping in my grave. Just a great Irish Wake and Funeral with a piper, and a big party."Whatever you want, Ma, we're ready for it. See you again on the other side, on the beach with the rest of our shell seekers. "We loved you so, ‘twas heaven here with you." SERVICES Visitation Thursday, June 30, 2016 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM The Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi ave.
