Brian Ewing was born in Paterson, NJ, on August 16, 1974. He moved to Kinnelon, NJ, when he was 3.
Brian attended Our Lady of the Magnificat Elementary School in Kinnelon, NJ, and graduated from DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, NJ, in 1992. He earned an undergraduate degree in business from Penn State in 1997 and an MBA from the University of New Haven in 2010.
He spent his entire career in Procurement / Logistics, culminating in his last position as a Director at United Illuminating/Avangrid.
Brian met his wife, Danielle, in Oct 2004 and fell in love. They were married on November 26, 2005. They first resided in Norwalk, CT. Shortly after that they purchased their first home in Orange, CT. Daughter Kaitlyn was born October 27, 2006. Their first son, Justin, was born March 8, 2008. Their third child, Landon, was born July 29, 2012.
Brian was an adored husband and devoted father. He loved God, his wife, and children incredibly. His faith was very important to him. His work ethic was impeccable. Providing for his family was always at the front of his mind.
Brian loved to cook, BBQ, play golf, workout, do various activities with his children, and spend time with and vacation with his family, just to name a few of his interests. He would do anything and everything with his family to make them happy!
He was very kind and caring, always helping others when needed. You could always depend on him to fix most anything, and to provide good counsel with a witty sense of humor.
Brian was beloved by his all of family, wife, and children and will be terribly missed by all. Brian passed away at the age of 48. Too young. He is survived by his wife Danielle, children Kaitlyn, Justin, and Landon, parents Linda and Tom Black, and sister Sharon Pupel.
Visitation at Noon Tuesday April 11 at Our Lady of the Magnificat Church (OLM), 2 Miller Road, Kinnelon, NJ. Funeral Mass also at OLM at 1:00 PM, with burial at OLM Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates any donations to Alcoholics Anonymous, payable to "General Service Board", mailed to PO Box 2407, James A Farley Station, New York, NY 10116-2407, in his memory.
