Brother Brian J. Hart, OFM, passed away peacefully with family at his side on July 3, 2014. Born in Jersey City he moved to Pompton Lakes in 1953 and graduated Pompton Lakes High School and Leicester College in MA. He entered the Franciscan order in 1973 serving as Friar in various ministries for 41 years. He was also a hospital Chaplain in Olean, N.Y. for many years. He is survived by his twin sisters Barbara Giles and her husband Wayne of Pompton Lakes and Joanne Hunt and her husband Halsey of Pompton Plains, three nieces Colleen Fazekas, Sheila Jenkins, Heather Thomson and his nephew Patrick Giles, Seven grand nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his devoted parents Joseph D. and Mary Hart originally of Kearny, N.J. Visiting will be Monday July 7 at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Butler from 5 to 8 pm with a wake service at 7:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at St. Anthony's at 10:30 a.m. with Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, N.J.
