Calvin Whitty, age 88, of Butler, NJ died Sunday, October 25, 2015. Mr. Whitty was born in Butler, N.J. the son of the late Calvin and the late Elmira (Bedell) Whitty. He served in the Army during World War II, was a member of the American Legion, owned Kinnelon Taxi and Cal Whitty's Towing, both in Butler and also worked at Marotta Valve in Boonton and was a cement truck driver for Sam Braen Industries in Riverdale, NJ. He is survived by his devoted wife of 70 loving years, Mildred (Hamilton) Whitty, his beloved son, Calvin J. Whitty and wife Hazel, a dear daughter in law Patricia Whitty, six cherished grandchildren and seven adored great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Cal was predeceased by two sons, William Whitty and Kenneth George Whitty. Viewing hours will be Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be Thursday 10:00am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Rest Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
