Carol A Miller

Carol A. Miller (nee Weir), age 77, of West Milford, died peacefully at home after battling cancer for quite a while. She was born in Paterson on June 8, 1944, and raised in Butler, NJ. She attended Nancy Taylor Secretarial school in New York City after graduating from Butler High School in 1962. She has lived in quite a few places in the New York/New Jersey area, finally settling down after marrying Albert H. Miller, Jr. in 1972 and moving to Hawthorne, NJ where she raised her family before moving to West Milford after retiring from working. Carol held many jobs over the years, ranging from the answering service in Pompton Lakes, waitressing, cashier at the Hawthorne Movie Theater to administrative work at State Farm in Parsippany. With many other jobs in between. She enjoyed scrapbooking, hand crafts, going to craft shows, watching the snow fall, listening to the birds singing and seeing the wildlife in the back yard. As her health declined that limited her travel, Carol kept in touch with many people on Facebook on her Kindle. She loved spending time with family and her many friends; especially the time spent in Long Beach Island with her classmates. Carol leaves behind her daughter, Dawn Kruimer of West Milford, her son, Albert H. Miller III (fianc Jennifer Phillips) of West Milford, her granddaughter Harleigh Miller of West Milford; along with her "adopted" grandchildren, Cassondra Willows, James Bailey, Dominic Bailey, and Violet Willows. Her brother, Charles (Bucky) Weir and wife Carol in Florida. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Al Miller, her parents Charles and Isabelle Weir and grandparents Howard and Viola Miller. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 2nd from 3:00 5:00pm at Morrisons Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday at 11:00am at Butler United Methodist Church, 5 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ following internment at Mt Rest Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
