Carol Korn passed away on Saturday March 29th with her family at her side. She was known to many as a longtime chemistry teacher at Butler High School; she was inspirational and dedicated to her students. Her students loved her, and she kept in touch with some of them for years. She was quiet and reserved but could be adventurous, and particularly enjoyed traveling with her husband Al Korn. She went on a three-week car camping tour of the US, cruises in Alaska and the Caribbean, and of course many trips to St. Petersburg FL to visit her parents. She even flew over Kauai's Na Pali Coast in a small powered ultralight glider a few years ago. She loved living on peaceful Glenwild Lake in Bloomingdale NJ, having moved there in the late 1970s. Carol enjoyed doing the NY Times crossword puzzles and had recently rediscovered the joy of playing bridge. She played bridge with friends on Fridays, and enjoyed her good friends on the lake. A memorial service will be held at Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler NJ, Tuesday April 1 from 7 to 9 pm.
