Carolyn A Gerri

Carolyn A. Gerri, 71, of West Milford, NJ, passed away on March 15, 2018. She was born in Manhattan, NY, daughter of the late Ralph and Bridget Forte. She was a long time parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at Saint Joseph RC Church in West Milford, NJ. Before retiring she was an office manager for the Diocese of Paterson, working for Catholic Families in Pompton Lakes N.J. She loved to play poker and was a former DJ in the 1980s and went by the name "Mrs. Doobie". Carolyn is survived by her beloved children, Kristen DeLorenzo, Brian Gerri (wife Ushanee) and Vanessa Kurz (husband Brian) her loving brother Richard Forte (wife Janet), her six cherished grandchildren, Gianna, Gabrielle, Tyler, Krystal, Kiehra and Aiden as well as her devoted companion, Eddie Simpson. Viewing hours will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 4 to 8 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ. A mass will be offered on Monday, 11 AM, at Saint Josephs RC Church in West Milford NJ. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
