Catherine J Foster

Catherine J. Foster, (nee) Smith, 92, of West Milford, passed away April 11, 2018. Catherine was born and raised in Clifton, and a resident of West Milford, since 1961. Mrs. Foster retired as an executive secretary from GPU (JCP&L) in Morristown, NJ. She formally worked for the city of Clifton in the City Clerk Office and City Managers Office as a secretary, Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics, was temporary appointed as Assistant City Clerk and also employed by Seckler and Sheppard Inc. She is a member of Saint Josephs RC Church, a member of its rosary society, its Womens Group, formerly of various volunteer groups at DePaul Catholic High School, Womens Club of High Crest Lake and the High Crest Lake Lodge and a Usher in St. Joseph Church for over 50+ years. She was predeceased by her devoted husband George V. Foster in June 1998 and is survived by her beloved children, Kathleen Jensen and husband Kim of Brick, NJ, James and wife Patricia of Wantage, NJ and Brian of West Milford, and was predeceased by her loving sister, Evelyn Dunn and a brother Leon Smith. Also surviving are nine cherished grandchildren and four adored great-grandchildren. She was adored by all that met her and brought a smile to everyone she encountered. Visiting will be held Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 4 to 8pm at The Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Avenue Butler, N. J. A mass will be offered on Monday 11 AM at St. Josephs RC Church West Milford followed by interment in the church cemetery.
