Catherine Marie Niemis

Catherine Marie Niemis, 89, of Butler, formerly of Newfoundland, passed away on October 5, 2017. She was born in Butler, NJ, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Aleatha Shenise. Catherine was a supervisor at Intermed in Oak Ridge, NJ, before retiring. She was a parishioner at St. Anthony's RC Church and a member of the Butler XYZ's. She is survived by her devoted children George and wife Carolyn, Susan McCarthy and husband Mike and Steven and wife Jeanne, her loving sisters Cecelia Cleary and Lorraine Swagger, her cherished grandchildren Michele, Martin, Kelly, Thomas, Eric, Holly, Kyle, Teresa and Rachel and her adored nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephew's. Catherine was predeceased by her devoted husband George J. and her loving daughter Christina Ricker. Viewing hours will be held Monday, October 9, 2017, from 2 to 5 PM at the Morrison funeral home 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler New Jersey. A funeral service will be held 4 PM on Monday also at the funeral home. Final disposition will be held in private.
