Charles A. Gurrell

Charles A. Gurrell, age 65, of Bloomingdale, NJ, died Saturday, January 26, 2013. Mr. Gurrell was born in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Charles F. and the late Helen (Cruickshank) Gurrell. He was a machine operator for PSE&G Oakland, NJ and a bus driver for Jordan Bus Company, Butler, NJ. Charles proudly served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam War and was member of the VFW Post # 8096 in Butler, NJ. He is survived by his beloved children, Lynda Goodrich, Michael C. Gurrell and Carrie Gurrell, two loving sisters, June Devaney and Charlene Crum and husband Arthur, four cherished grandchildren, Aaron Goodrich and Zachary, Kaitlinn and Hannah Ellicott and is also survived by his loving companion of 35 years, Lorraine Wassmer and several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, February 2nd, 2012, from 3:00-5:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A memorial service will be held also on Saturday 4:00pm at the funeral home. All other services will be private.
