Charles M. D'Amato

Charles M. D'Amato, age 89, of West Milford, died Friday, October 30, 2009. Mr. D'Amato was born in New York, the son of the late Anthony and the late Carmella (Nevatto) D'Amato. He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War as a sergeant. He was a former employee at St. Joseph's RC Church in West Milford, NJ, was a line supervisor at ADT in Clifton, NJ and belonged to the VFW in Bloomingdale, NJ. He is survived by his devoted wife Caroline(nee Coniglio) D'Amato, his beloved children, Anthony D'Amato and wife Sharon, Janice Cole and husband William, Charlie D'Amato and wife Karen, and John D'Amato and wife Kathy, Cherished grandfather of nine, and adored great-grandfather of eight. A memorial mass will be offered Wednesday, November 4, 2009, 10:00 AM at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 400 West Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801, in his memory.
