Charles W. Haas, age 92, of West Milford, formerly of North Bergen, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Mr. Haas was born in Monticello, NY the son of the late Charles W. and the late Ethel (Thompson) Haas. He served in the Air Force from 1943 to 1945 during World War II. He was the owner of Greenhouse and Florist in North Bergen, NJ. Mr. Haas was past Worshipful Masterful Mason and member of the Free and Accepted Masons Blue Stone Majestic Tie Malta Doric Lodge No. 35, The Scottish Rite, Eastern Star Amore Chapter #176 Bogota, NJ, the Reformed Church in Kinnelon, NJ, the Grove Reformed Church, North Bergen, NJ and the United Methodist Church of Monticello, NY. He is survived by his beloved sons, Charles W. Haas and wife Virginia and David W. Haas and wife Marilyn, two loving sisters, Virginia Tursi and husband Joseph and Jane Wakin, six cherished grandchildren, nine adored great grandchildren and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Sunday, July 18th, 2010, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Monday10:00am also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Grove Church Cemetery, North Bergen, NJ. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Light of Day Foundation, Inc. 201 South 2nd Ave. Highland Park, NJ 08904 in his memory for Parkinsons disease.
