Cheryl M. Joosten

Cheryl M. Joosten (nee Caruso), 54, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Montclair, New Jersey, and nearly a lifelong resident of Butler, Cheryl was equally known for her outgoing personality and her extraordinary love for animals. She extensively volunteered at Triboro Animal Welfare in Butler and helped numerous families by pet sitting their animals while they were on vacation. As a beautician by trade, Cheryl was a familiar face at Beauty On A Budget in Butler and Kut and Curl in Bloomingdale. Cheryl is survived by her devoted husband, Karl, with 28 loving years of marriage, her beloved mother, Joan Caruso, brother-in-law Steven Joosten and wife Dale, and sister-in-law's, Lisa Joosten, Cynthia Kelley and Carol Moomow. Also surviving are her loving nephews, Nicholas J. Caruso, III and his wife Theresa, and Jonathan M. Caruso, along with great nephews and niece, Nicholas J. Caruso, IV, Autumn A. Caruso and Dylan K. Caruso, her lifelong friend, Lori Artinian, and by many good friends. Cheryl was predeceased by her brother Nicholas J. Caruso, Jr., her father, Nicholas J. Caruso, Sr., and her dearest pet dog, Brandy. A viewing will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, New Jersey. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10 am at Holy Faith Lutheran Church, 104 Paradise Road, Oak Ridge, New Jersey.
