Clara A. Decker

Clara A. Decker, age 83, of Kinnelon, NJ died on Tuesday, March 4th, 2008. Clara was born in Paterson, NJ, the daughter of the late J. Russell Anderson and the late Bertha (Scribner) Anderson. Upon graduation from Butler High School, she completed nursing training at Presbyterian Hospital in Newark. She concluded her lifelong career as a registered nurse with 24 years of caring for the students at Pearl R. Miller Middle School in Kinnelon. An avid swimmer and dancer, Mrs. Decker was a Cadet Nurse during WWII, and a member of the Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two children, Cathy Beevers and Craig Decker and their spouses, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Her husband, Russell Decker, and her special pet Missy predeceased her. Viewing hours will be Thursday, March 6th, 2008, from 2:00 -4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Friday 10:00am also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery.
