Claudio M Bellini

Claudio M. Bellini, age 77, of Butler NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday June 11, 2022. Claudio, also lovingly known to many as "Pop Pop" was born in Genoa, Italy, the son of Benjamin and Isabella Bellini. As a young child, the family relocated to Dongan Hills, Staten Island where he spent his elementary, high school, and college years. After graduating from Wagner College with a Masters degree in Teaching, Mr. Bellini served the NY Board of Education for over 44 years, before retiring in 2008. At that time, he relocated to Butler, NJ and played a pivotal role in caring for his 5 grandchildren. During his younger years as a teacher, Mr. Bellini taught many grade levels at P.S. 44 in Mariners Harbor, Staten Island and was beloved by his students, their families and fellow educators. In addition to teaching, Mr. Bellini was also a travel agent and loved to explore new locations with his loved ones. He had a passion for cooking, spending time at the beach, exploring new restaurants, attending his grandchildrens sporting and extracurricular activities, and was happiest when spending time with his adoring family. Mr. Bellini is survived by his daughter, Laralyn and her husband Howard and his daughter, Rebecca and her husband Alex. His 5 grandchildren, Jonathan, Jenna, Jake, Sophia and Peter. His brother Richie Bellini and his wife Sheila and their children, Michael and Joseph. The family will host a celebration of his life on Sunday, July 24, 2022, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave Butler, NJ. In lieu of flowers, his loved ones will be raising money for an enrichment project to benefit P.S. 44 Elementary School (Mariners Harbor, Staten Island) where he was a beloved teacher and member of the community for over 44 years. https://gofund.me/2047b208 .
