Clifford A. Guenter

Clifford A. Guenter, 94, of Butler, passed away on February 19, 2017. He was born in Butler, the son of the late Augustus and Gertrude (Mertz) Guenter. Cliff worked for the United States post office in Butler, was a WW II Army veteran, a member of the VFW and the American Legion, was a former Assistant Chief and Chief of the Butler Fire Department. He was a member of the Morris County Fire Chiefs Association, the Butler XYZ's and a parishioner at St. Anthony's Church. He is survived by his devoted wife of 70 loving years, Beatrice (Ryan) Guenter, his beloved children, Judith Earley and husband Thomas, Barbara Labonia and husband Frank and Stephen Guenter and wife Linda. His loving sister Lillian Croop, his cherished grandchildren, Erin Earley Hamilton and husband William, Ryan Earley and Danielle, Michelle and Lindsay Labonia, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cliff was predeceased by his loving siblings Ernest and Gerard Guenter, Emily Schaffer and Claire Mitsch and his loving son, Clifford "Kip" Guenter. Viewing will be held Thursday, February 23, 2017, from 4 to 8 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, N J. A Mass will be offered on Friday, 11 AM at St. Anthony's RC Church in Butler. Burial to follow service at Mt Calvary Cemetery also in Butler.
