Clinton Warren Ackerman

Clinton Warren Ackerman, age 95, Butler, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Mr. Ackerman was born in Wanaque, NJ the son of the late Edward and the late Charlotte (Gainer) Ackerman. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War, was a member of the Pompton Lakes Golden Agers, the Butler Board of Education for 12 years and the President of the PTA, the Butler and Bloomingdale XYZ's and VFW also in Butler. Clinton worked as a Machinist for E.I. DuPont, Pompton Lakes, NJ before retiring. He is survived by his devoted wife Ruth (Ackerman) Ackerman, his beloved children, Cathleen Hille and husband Steven, Ruthann Jensen and husband Joseph and Clinton James Ackerman and wife Lalie, his loving siblings, Earl Ackerman, Grace Wolbrink, Mary Jane Lewis and Frank Ackerman, his cherished grandchildren, Dana Williams, Cara Hille,Megan McPartlin, Clinton E. Ackerman, Alex Hille, Shane Hille, his first great grandson that will be born in September and two adored great grandchildren, Leah and Aimee. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by his siblings, Edward Ackerman, Elmer Ackerman, Giles Ackerman, Roger Ackerman, Charlotte Baird and Donald Ackerman. Viewing hours will be Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 5:00-8:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday 9:00am at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
