Concetta Janet Parisi, 79, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Born in Passaic, NJ, she was a proud resident of Bloomingdale her entire life. She was a graduate of the Bloomingdale/Butler Schools and received a diploma from Ridgewood Secretarial School. Until her retirement in 1996, "Connie" as she was known professionally, was employed as a legal assistant to the General Counsel at American Cyanamid/Pfizer. She was active in real estate; local government, running for town council; and the Bloomingdale Public Library where she served on the Board of Trustees. Her interests included travel and natural and historic preservation. Above all, she was devoted to family and enjoyed her many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. She was an active parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, Butler.Preceded in death by her father and mother, Anthony and Tillie (Mogavero) Parisi, she is survived by:Brother, John (Ann Marie) Parisi of Millbrook, NY, and family: Dr. Susan (James Clark) Parisi and children Isabella, Annaeliese and Alexander Clark; Anthony (Sinead McLaughlin) Parisi; Dr. Mary Beth (Mark Langley) Parisi and children Giovanna, Annabella, Marco and Giulian Langley; Ann Marie (Christopher) OzolinsBrother, Frank (Jeannie) Parisi of Wayne, PA, and family: Anthony (Michelle) Parisi and children Lyndsay Carroll, Thomas and Sophia Parisi; John (Gabrielle) Parisi and children Carter and Josie Parisi; Christine (Daniel) Sullivan and children Wanda, Lucy, Adelaide and Mabel Sullivan; Joseph ParisiSister, Santa (Donald) Dewey of New Rochelle, NY and family: Robert Dewey; Jennifer (Brad Conte) Dewey and Lauren Conte; Elizabeth (Baris) Efe and Devran Efe;Anthony Dewey. She is also survived by a paternal aunt, Lucy (Ceasar) Cellini of Clifton, NJ and many cousins. The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, is in charge of arrangements. Relatives and friends may call Monday, June 10, 2-4 and 7-9. A mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 11, at 10:30 at Saint Anthony of Padua RC Church, 65 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Paterson, NJ. Donations to the Bloomingdale Free Public Library or a charity of one's choice will be appreciated.
