Cora E Paulison

Cora E. Paulison, age 98, of Bloomingdale, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, surrounded by much love and in the care of Victoria Mews Assisted Living in Boonton Township, NJ. Cora was born and raised in Stockholm, NJ. and moved to Bloomingdale in 1943. She attended the Stockholm Methodist Church where she was dedicated and baptized and received Christ as her Savior. She served as treasurer for the Sunday School. After graduating Franklin High School in 1940 she was immediately employed by American Hard Rubber Mill in Butler, as a bookkeeper for accounts receivable for 33 years. Cora was then employed by Cyanamid Manufacturing Company as a bookkeeper for Foreign Accounts Receivable for 17 years. Upon retiring she was employed by the Bloomingdale Library for 3 years. Cora supported the AFC Girls Mission group, she was a seamstress, enjoyed tennis, bowling club, the Yankees and traveling. She loved to spend time with family and friends, whom she treasured. She had a special place in her heart for children and was a caretaker and friend to many. Her gift of encouragement was often expressed through greeting cards, letters, phone calls and visits. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Cora is survived by her loving family, nephews, Donald Paulison, William Paulison, James Paulison, and Gerald Paulison, Jr., nieces, Sandra Singer, Susan Paulison, Diane Lee Paulison, Debra Bonfonti, Judy Sauter, Nancy Jo Paulison, and Janet Preisen, sister-in-law, Diana DeVries, and cousins, Butch Coursen, Mark Birdsall and Daryl Birdsall. Cora was predeceased by her parents, Everett and Ada Paulison, her stepfather Lester Adams, brothers Donald Paulison (Thelma), Everett Paulison (Juanita), and Gerald Paulison, Sr., her sister Evelyn Johnson (Harold), and her niece Mary Beth Wiley.
