Darlene Kolakovic

Darlene Kolakovic, 55 of Butler, NJ formerly of Paterson, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 15, 2020. Darlene was a parishioner at St. Michaels Church in Paterson, NJ but was currently attending St. Anthony of Padua in Butler. She was a waitress for many diners in the local area and had a strong passion for animal rights, rescuing many animals. Darlene is survived by her loving mother, Mary Ann Kolakovic, brother Michael Kolakovic, beloved children, Gabriel Colon and his fiance Mayra Avila, Rebecca Hammonds and boyfriend Abedallah Elaiwah and adored granddaughter, Riley Ackerman. Visitation will be Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 2:00pm-6:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A mass will be offered Monday, October 19, 2020 at 10:00am at St. Anthonys RC Church 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. Burial will immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 52 Totowa Road, Totowa, NJ. The new limits on indoor gatherings for facilities is 25% of the maximum amount of people in a building. Morrison Funeral Home will be able to accept 25 people at a time wearing masks and practice social distancing .
