David E. Philhower, age 75, of Bloomingdale, N.J., died Monday, August 5th, 2013. Mr. Philhower was born in Chester, NJ. He is the son of the late David H. and the late Blanche (Lambert) Philhower. David was a member of the National Guard, a Free Mason of the Silentia Lodge #168 in Butler and the NRA. Mr. Philhower was Co-Owner of Tintle's Auto Repair in Bloomingdale. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 loving years, Jeanne (Davenport) Philhower, his beloved children, Suzanne Barrett and husband David and Mark Philhower and his wife Maureen, two loving brothers, Joseph Philhower and Alex Lambert, a cherished grandson, Kyle Barrett and three adored step grandchildren, Ashley, Kelsey and Dennis Cusack. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held 10:00 am on Friday, August 9th, 2013 at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery, Butler, NJ. Viewing hours will be Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm also at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Bloomingdale PBA Scholarship Fund, Bloomingdale PBA Local 354, 101 Hamburg Turnpike, Bloomingdale, NJ 07403 in his memory.
