David L Stalter

David Leonard Stalter, age 65, of Hewitt, died Saturday, February 7, 2015. Mr. Stalter was born in Paterson, NJ, the son of the late Robert and the late Rose (Whritenour) Stalter. He proudly served his country in the US Army during Vietnam war. He worked for many years as a custodial for the Pequannock Board Of Ed in Pompton Plains, NJ before retiring and was a member of the American Legion and the Vietnam Veterans of America. He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 loving years, Marianne (Montrose) Stalter, his beloved son Daniel Stalter, his loving sisters, Linda Helms and husband Clifford Sr. and Cheryl Ann "Annie" Van Riper and husband Curt Sr. and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his brothers, Roy and Robert Stalter. Viewing hours will be Tuesday, February 10th, 2015 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Tuesday 8:00pm also at the funeral home. The final disposition will be private.
