Dolores A. Babcock

Dolores A. Babcock, age 84, of Kinnelon, formerly of North Caldwell, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, March 5, 2009. Mrs. Babcock was born in Hazelton, PA the daughter of the late Peter and the late Mary (Ohren) Walko. She worked with her husband, Dr. George Babcock Jr. in Wayne, NJ as a Registered Nurse. Dolores was a member and past president of the Smoke Rise Garden Club, and always was a part of the annual poinsettia sale. She was also a member of The Laurel Guild of Smoke Rise. Dolores trained as a nurse in Pottsville, PA, and received her BS at Upsala College in East Orange, NJ. She will always be remembered for her love of people and animals, and the beauty of nature. She is survived by her two beloved children, Mark Peter Babcock, and Mary Louise Babcock, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Dolores was predeceased by her devoted husband Dr.George Babcock Jr., and her loving son, George E. Babcock. Viewing hours will be Tuesday, March 10, 2009, from 9am to 11am at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will follow also on Tuesday 11:45 am at Our Lady of the Magnificat RC Church, Kinnelon, NJ. Burial will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, NJ.
