Donald Davenport

Donald H. Davenport, age 86, long time resident of Butler, NJ, died Sunday, November 29, 2009. Mr. Davenport was born in Unionville, NY, the son of the late Harvey and the late Leona (Post) Davenport. Don was a member of the Butler XYZ's, and former Chaplain of the George P. Siek VFW Post 8096. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Dorothy, his beloved children, Dave and wife Beth, and Dennis and wife Jean, two loving brothers, Harvey and Leon Davenport, four loving sisters, Rose Montanye, Virginia Russell, Evelyn Davenport, and Betty Tinkey, five cherished grandchildren, and 1 adored great grandchild. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Viewing hours will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2009, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Thursday 11:30am also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at North Hardyston Cemetery, Hardyston, NJ.
