Donald David Devaney

Donald David Devaney, died on December 10, 2015, at Age 84. Born in Butler, Mr. Devaney served in the Air Force during the Korean War, and then worked for a contractor for NASA, which supplied guidance systems for the Space Shuttle program. He was a member of VFW Post 8096 in Butler, NJ and then VFW Post 7904 in Manchester, NJ where he lived during most of his retirement years. He loved to travel with his beloved girlfriend, Joan Cooper of 17 years, and spent most winters as a snowbird with Joan in Florida. He is survived by his daughter Donna Lipari and her husband John, and granddaughter Michelle. Also survived by two sons, David Devaney, his wife Kathryn, and granddaughter Christina, and Dwayne Devaney. Viewing hours will be Thursday, December 17th, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. The funeral will be Friday, December 18, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at St Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 57 Bartholdi Avenue, where a Mass will be celebrated. Burial to follow in Mt.
