Donald R Bepler

Donald Robert Bepler, 58, of West Milford, NJ, passed away on May 8, 2020, surrounded by loved ones, in Butler, NJ. He was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer and passed a short time later. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, then moved to Haskell, NJ, in 1966. He graduated from Lakeland Regional High School, in 1979, then went on to join the U.S. Navy in July 1980, receiving an honorable discharge. He was employed by American Beryllia, Inc. prior to passing. Those who know Donald, knew that he lived his life to the fullest! He enjoyed most outdoor activities (camping, white water rafting, demolition derbies, etc.). However, his true passion was for cooking, both indoors and outdoors.. from pig roasts to weddings. (If he didnt get you through your heart, he got you through your stomach!) He was definitely a "people person", being the "life of the party " on most occasions! He entertained both, young and old, and he was not easy to forget. His "heart of gold", was felt by many..if you needed help, he would always help, if he could. Donald, you will be greatly missed by your family and friends. Rest In PeaceYou are forever loved. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Jeanette (Schenk) Bepler, sisters, Judy Wood and Joyce Maitland, and niece, Sandra Wood. He is survived by his son, Daniel Joseph, and wife (separated), Dorothy, his brothers, John Schenk, Sr. and Gerard Schenk, his sisters, Florence Wright and husband, Kurt Sr., Diane French and husband, Terry, and Janice Neil and husband, Charles Jr., and many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A "Celebration of Life" gathering will be held at a later date.
