Doris A. Vander Laan

Doris A. Vander Laan, age 82, of Butler, formerly of Pompton Lakes, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, October 21, 2010. Mrs. Vander Laan was born in Clifton, NJ the daughter of the late Erik Oscar and the late Anne (Sutterlund) Erikson. She worked for D H Matthews Real Estate, Butler, NJ as a realtor, and was a long time Trustee for the Butler United Methodist Church. Doris loved to spend time with her family, friends and her cats. She is survived by her beloved children, Richard and his wife Sandra, Gregory and wife Kim, Judy La Rocca and husband Nick and Glenn and wife Marjorie. Also surviving are twelve cherished grandchildren. Doris was pre deceased by her devoted husband Richard. Viewing hours will be Sunday, October 24th, 2010, from 2:00 -4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Monday 10:00am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
