Dorothy Emily Popivchak

Dorothy “Dottie” Popivchak, age 92, passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2023. Born in Luzerne County, PA, to Daisy (nee Cragle) and John Grula, Dottie was a resident of Butler for 63 years.

Dottie was the beloved wife of 67 years to Joseph Popivchak. She leaves behind her husband, her two cherished children, Joseph Popivchak, and Suzanne Popivchak Meyers, her much loved son-in-law Steven Meyers along with her two adored and cherished grandchildren, Shelby Meyers and Trent Meyers.

Dottie always had a smile on her face and a pleasant word for everyone. She was a ketchup fanatic and put it on mostly everything. She loved word hunt puzzles, reading books, going to the Butler Family Restaurant and finding shapes in the clouds. Most of all, Dottie loved her family. Her gentleness and kindness will be forever remembered and forever missed.

Viewing hours will be from 10:00am-12:00pm on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler NJ. A funeral service will be offered at 12 noon also at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 106 Bartholdi Ave, Butler NJ.
