Dorothy R. Davenport

Dorothy R. Davenport was born on October 15th, 1924 in Wantage Township, NJ to Frank Davenport and Mable Havens. She had a sister Audrey Katzenstein and brother Donald Davenport. On December 30th, 1945, she married Donald Davenport in Mount Hope, NJ. They raised two sons, David "Beth" and Dennis Sr. "Jean (deceased)" Davenport. They had five grandchildren, Jeff, Dennis Jr., Jay "Laura", Jennifer, and Troy. They had two great-grandchildren Connor and Jacob. Dorothy was a member of the VFW Post 8096. Dorothy loved working on her word search books. She loved getting all kinds of flowers from her husband every year. She also loved going down to the shore with her grandchildren every summer and watching them grow up. She also loved spending time with great-grandsons Connor and Jacob. Dorothy was preceded in death by Donald Davenport. She is survived by her son's, David and Dennis Sr. Davenport, her grandchildren, and great grandchild. Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 16th, 2022 at Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave Butler, NJ, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A funeral will be offered Friday 11:00 am.
