Eberhard Hermann Bareiss

August 11, 1932 — October 21, 2017

Eberhard Hermann Bareiss, 85, passed away after a long illness on 21 October, 2017 in Natick, Massachusetts after recently relocating from Kinnelon, NJ. He was born August 11, 1932 to Max and Emma (Maas) Bareiss in Cambridge, Massachusetts. On June 17,1956 he married Marjorie Ellis in Caldwell, New Jersey. Eberhard graduated from Grover Cleveland High School, Caldwell, NJ in 1950 and Wentworth Institute, Boston, MA in 1952. He served in the Army from 1952-54 and retired from Singer Kearfott in1993 after 37 years of testing guidance systems in support of the aerospace industry, including NASA's Apollo spacecraft. Eberhard enjoyed traveling the country by car and visited all 48 contiguous states. He was an avid woodworker, making bangles, furniture and toys for family and friends. Survivors include his ex-wife Marjorie and their three children, Lisa Hepfinger and her husband Mark of Holliston, MA, Christopher and his wife Eliza of Lafayette, NJ and Shaune Roberts and her husband Randall of Keller, Texas; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Marc, Ashlee, Jaclyn, Samantha, Max, Errol, Christian and Deanna; two great grandchildren, Olivia and Benjamin; and one brother, Roland of St. Augustine, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ellie Rutan. His family would like to thank everyone at Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Natick, MA for the wonderful care that Eberhard received.
