Edith Hoeft

Butler - Services were held for Edith Hoeft, 83, of this community, who passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014.Born in Bremerhaven, Germany, Mrs. Hoeft came to the United States in 1957. She lived in Ringwood for 34 years before moving to Butler where she resided for 22 years. She worked as a waitress for 39 years at various restaurant establishments, namely The Wanaque Valley Inn, Holy Mackerel's, Mason's, and The Skyline Diner.Private services were held at Morrison's Funeral Home in Butler. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Association - Greater New Jersey Chapter - Memorial Gifts, 400 Morris Ave. Suite 251 - Denville, NJ 07834.Mrs. Hoeft is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Heinz, her daughters Rita Dalton of Butler, Sigrid Harlos and husband Ronald of Bloomingdale, and son Michael and wife Maria of Haledon, 3 grandchildren Corinne, Brian, and Jessica. She has a sister Inge in California, and a sister Jutta in Bremerhaven Germany.She was predeceased by her father, her mother, and her brother in Germany.
