Edna Irene Struble

Edna Irene Struble, 94, of Butler, N. J., passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 surrounded by family. Edna was born in Butler and lived there most of her life.She was the daughter of the late James and Irene (Oppel) Struble. She was a Supervisor for the Butler Power and Light Co. before retiring and was a "Life Member "of the VFW Post #8096 Ladies Auxiliary. For several years she was President of the "North Jersey Womans Club" where she used her skills as an avid gardener. Edna had a gentle soul and believed in her Faith and Family. She is survived by her beloved children, Judith Swedin, Stephen Brooks and wife Linda, Nancy Bird and husband Bill, Marianne McKernan, Barbara Sedita and Peter Struble, and her loving siblings, Carolyn Grosskreutz, Roger Struble and James"Butch" Struble; twelve cherished grandchildren, Jason and wife Heather, Jeremy, Adam and wife Denise, Jennifer and husband Dominic, Lauren and husband Jeffrey, Alex, Rebecca, Gina, Samantha, Josh, Patrick and Jared; thirteen adored great grandchildren, Brooke, Morgan, Barrett, Jack, Mackenzie, Sarah, Gabriella, Jackson, Sadie, Isabella, Jacob, Logan, and Joseph (Jo-Jo). Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Edna was pre-deceased by her devoted husbands, George Brooks and Raymond Struble and a dear son in law, Ronald Swedin. Viewing hours will be Sunday, January 13, 2019, from 4 to 8 pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A Mass will be offered Monday, 10am at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery also in Butler.
