Edward J. Appleton

Edward J. Appleton, age 81, of Butler, formerly of Paterson, died Friday, January 20, 2012. Mr. Appleton was born in Paterson, NJ, the son of the late John and the late Loretta (Heitzman) Appleton. He was a Parishioner of St. Anthony RC Church, a US Air Force Veteran, a member of the NRA, worked as a mechanic for Pan Am in Teterboro, NJ and donated his time and finances to many charities. He is survived by his three beloved children, Edward James Appleton, Diana Appleton-Pinkham and husband James and Robert Appleton and wife Pamela, a loving sister, Loretta Carter, twelve cherished grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Edward was pre deceased by his devoted wife Ida and dear son Joseph. Viewing hours will be Tuesday, January 24th, 2012, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday 11:00 at St Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
