Edward J. Mulligan, age 87, of Butler and West Milford, died Saturday, December 12, 2009.Mr. Mulligan was born in Butler, NJ the son of the late Francis and the late Teresa (Kunkel) Mulligan. He served in the Navy from 1942 to 1945 during World War II. He was employed by Hoffman La Roche Nutley, NJ as a Line Worker. Mr. Mulligan was a Parishioner of St. Anthony's RC Church, Butler, NJ, and Our Lady Queen of Peace, Hewitt, NJ, and was a member of the George P. Siek VFW Post 8096 in Butler. He is survived by , two daughters, Maureen Morano and husband Gregory, and Suzanne Hammond, two sons, Bill Mulligan and wife Cheryl, and Steve Mulligan and wife Chris, 10 cherished grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Ed was predeceased by his devoted wife Suzanne. Viewing hours will be Wednesday, December 16, 2009, from 3pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 10:00am at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Butler. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa) Molave Street, Juna Subdivision Matina Davao City, Philippines, 8021, in his memory.
