Edward L. Jeckel

Edward L. Jeckel, age 97, of Kinnelon, entered into eternal rest, February 2nd, 2011. Mr. Jeckel was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Fred and Helen (Barnholt) Jeckel. Ed was an electrical engineer for Westinghouse Corp. in NJ before retiring. He served the Borough of Kinnelon on the Planning Board and Board of Adjustment, including service as Chairman. Mr. Jeckel was a longtime member of the Jacksonville Chapel in Lincoln Park, NJ, and contributed to a variety of charities throughout his life. An accomplished artist, Mr. Jeckel's paintings have been displayed in shows and galleries throughout the area. He is pre deceased by two devoted wives, Laura and Edith, and is survived by a niece and many friends and relatives. Viewing hours will be Friday, February 4th, 2011, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be offered Monday February 7th, 2011 11am at the cemetery. Burial will be held at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
