Edward M. Decker, age 99, of Wayne, died Thursday, December 5, 2013. Mr. Decker was born in Butler, N.J. the son of the late Franklin and the late Anna (Trumbour) Decker. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II, receiving an Oak Leaf Cluster Star and a Bronze Star. He worked for Butler Soft Rubber and the Little Falls Quarry before his retirement. He is survived by his beloved sisters, Joanna Watt, Mary Ellen Eckrich and Alice Connizzo. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Ed was pre deceased by his devoted wife, Sophie (Emmert), a cherished daughter, Gayla Evans and a loving brother, Arthur Decker. Viewing hours will be Sunday, December 8th, 2013 from 3:00-7:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Monday 10:00am at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
